Health Sector Strategic Plan, 2012-2016. Sudan is developing a new health plan but it is still in process and not yet public. Previous strategy like that of Sudan was developed for both North and South of Sudan before the recent political changes. Now they are two countries and Sudan is adopting a Federal system.

UHC2030 joint vision progress

Sudan Joined IHP+ in 2011. Sudan organized One JANS to jointly assess the NHSSP in addition to other four programme specific strategies(HIV, TB, Malaria and EPI) in 2012. The country local health compact has been developed with involvement of different health partners, it has been signed by local and international partners in July 2014. Sudan has participated in 3rd and 4th rounds of the IHP+ monitoring processing 2012 and 2014 respectively. Sudan also participated in the 5th IHP+ monitoring round which tracked progress on the implementation of eight practices for effective development cooperation (EDC) IHP+ membership was transferred to UHC2030 in 2016. The country has established the Sudan Health Observatorywww.sho.gov.sd
