Country assistance strategy for the period FY2011-2014- The World Bank Group is significantly scaling up analytical and financial support to help the Kingdom of Tonga and other small and remote Pacific island countries reduce the constraints of economic geography and make the most of opportunities. A country strategy for Tonga is being presented now in order to provide a broader context in which to seek Board approval for the first development policy operation for Tonga as well as investments in the transport sector and post-tsunami rehabilitation

Country Strategy paper 2008-2013: presents the strategic framework for EU assistance under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF). Priority will be will be water and energy in particular renewable energy. The country strategy for 2002-2007 was focussed on supporting education health and sanitation.
