Products
Cove has a wide range of products to offer. Let’s have a look at them one by one.
Touch Screen Panel
Cove’s Touch Screen Panel is better than other companies’ touch panels that we have seen.
It is self-testing and tamperproof, it can walk you through the installation process, it uses a cellular connection, and with the help of a button, you can connect to their 24\7 monitoring team.
And the best part is if an intruder tries to break it, it triggers the alarm automatically.
It definitely has the most number of features we have seen in any Touch screen panel so far.
Camera’s
Cove offers four types of cameras designed for different roles. Let’s see how they are different from each other:
Indoor Camera
Cove’s indoor camera features a 110° wide-angle lens, enhanced night vision, 1080p HD video clarity, and 2-way communication.
These are great features but are standard, which you can find in any other home security service cameras too.
Outdoor Camera
Now Cove’s outdoor camera comes with a 140° wide-angle lens, AI detection, 1080p HD images, 2-way communication, along with enhanced night vision.
It comes with a memory card and cloud storage that lets you store recordings too. Overall, a good camera that has almost everything one might need.
Kami Doorbell Camera
Now again, just like any other Doorbell camera, this one also comes with a two-way speaker and has an HD live streaming feature.
Using it, you can see who is at your door and even answer them from your phone.
SkyBell Doorbell Camera
This camera is like an outdoor camera using which you can talk to visitors from anywhere.
Now, this is pretty similar to their Kami doorbell camera, and we did not find anything unique in it and did not see a point in buying it.
Motion Sensors
Cove offers three kinds of Motion Sensors. Have a look at these below:
Motion Detector
Coves motion sensor comes with a long range of 45 feet sensing radius, and its battery lasts up to five years.
It senses the human heat and can distinguish between pet motion below 30-50 pounds.
Again, the motion detector is good but very similar to other brands.
Door/Window Sensor
Cove’s door and window sensors are smart, and we like how it is a bit different from others.
You can place the sensor on any window or door. You can even set specific rules and names for each sensor, so you know what is happening where.
The best part is that this sensor self-tests itself every hour to know if it is working properly. So much for an affordable price of $15.

Glass Break Sensor
Cove’s glass break sensor comes within a 15 feet range and makes a deafening noise when it hears the noise of glass break.
Again, it is a good sensor, but it does not have anything unique per se.
Hazard Sensors
Let’s now have a look at the various kinds of hazard sensors that Cove offers:
Smoke/CO Detector
Cove’s smoke and CO detector senses smoke and CO gas leak in their early stage and notify you via Cove’s app. It also lets you turn off any false alarm from your app.
Flood Sensor
Cove’s flood sensor notifies you when the home temperature drops more than 41 degrees and when it comes into contact with water.
This sensor works well and comes at an affordable price of $20.
Key Remote
This key remote helps you to arm and disarm your system within a 150-meter range. And it also doubles as a panic button.
Medical Button
Not a lot of similar home security service offers a medical button which is a plus.
Cove’s medical button could be worn like a pendant, and when you press it, it notifies the help center to send for medical help.
If you have an elderly or sick person at your house, then this product could be really useful to you.
Services
Cove InstaText
Whenever there is an emergency, what many services do is generate an emergency call to reach you, which can risk being unanswered.
This is why we love Cove’s InstaText feature. This works by sending a triple text alarm response to you so that you have enough room to see the emergency notification.
LiveAssist
Cove’s LiveAssit feature lets you talk to a person anytime, 24×7, from your panel.
However, they only have six nationwide monitoring stations, so whether or not you will be able to get instant results is questionable.
Professional Installation
Although you can very easily install Cove’s home security system by following the instruction from the control panel, you can choose professional installation nonetheless.
You just have to request professional installation, and Cove will send a professional for help.
However, professional installation will cost you starting from $79.00.
RapidSOS
This is something unique offered by Cove, and it is quite praise-worthy.
RapidSOS is used by over 4,700 922 centers, covering more than 90% of the US population.
Also, additional 911 centers are being added weekly to ensure you remain safe at all times.
As soon as you use RapidSOS, the system sends your accurate location and triggers an alarm for help.

Cove does not bind you in any contract, and we love this thing about them.
It is again really simple to install Cove’s security system as far as the installation is concerned.
You can either choose to do it yourself, or you can choose the professional installation option too.
The products that you will receive are sleek and compact, you can place them anywhere easily, and they would not require any drilling or damage to walls.
How to Install Cove Home Security?
Our Experience With Cove
To test the waters, we got ourselves Cove’s basic plan subscription and a couple of gadgets, including the indoor camera, motion sensor, control panel, and a few more.
We received the products neatly packed in a box. We plugged in the touch panel, did the setup, and created a password.
Then we went through the installation instruction in the panel and connected the gadgets with the panel.
To mount the gadget on the wall, we just had to remove the adhesive sticker from the back and place it on the wall.
The camera quality was good, the motion sensors were working perfectly fine, and we even checked the live chat feature from the panel, and we were instantly connected to their monitoring team, which is a plus. Overall, Cove did a pretty good job.
What Differentiates Cove From Others?
Well, honestly, although Clove is pretty new to the industry, it has created a strong footing in less time.
They have very similar products with few differences, but you can go for them even with that because they are also affordable.
They are yet to add an X factor to make itself stand out, but overall, it’s worth the price.
